Louis Nijsten
Boende i Åre is proud to have Louis Nijsten as its owner. Originally from the Netherlands, Louis moved to Åre in the summer of 2023. Before that, Louis and his family lived in the US ski town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado where Louis owned his own real estate broker and property management company since 2010. With a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis & Management from Delft University of Technology, Louis brings a unique blend of technological expertise, attention to detail, and practicality to the real estate industry.
Louis' journey in real estate began with his involvement in the development and construction of the Creek View Subdivision in Hayden, Colorado. Recognizing the importance of having comprehensive knowledge of the industry, Louis decided to expand his horizons and venture into the sales and property management side of real estate. Today, he possesses a deep understanding of every facet of the real estate process, having experience in development, design, construction, sales, and property management.
As a passionate learner, Louis constantly seeks to stay ahead of the ever-evolving real estate industry, embracing new challenges and acquiring new skills. Using his experience and skills in property management, Louis is now bringing a new rental management company to the growing and vibrant Åre valley.
Beyond Real Estate
Louis understands the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. When he's not immersed in real estate ventures, Louis cherishes spending quality time with his wife and two sons. As a lover of nature, he takes full advantage of the breathtaking Swedish outdoors, engaging in various activities such as mountain biking, skiing, running, and hiking. Moreover, Louis is an avid tennis and paddle player and has devoted over five years to coaching the Steamboat High School tennis team.
